Hi everybody i'm new to the forum thought I would somwhat introduce myself i'm from Thunder Bay Ontario love Canada and this party has been what I have been looking for a long time. I think that it is very important to get our message out to the public and I think that this will be extremely difficult to accomplish with the obivous lack for corporate sponsorship which is a great thing but where going to have to find a way collectively to better fund ourselves and than stretch every dollar to it's fullest and we have to make sure that just about every penny is spent on our own Public Awareness campaign because I believe that if we could just get the information across to the public and we have to accomplish this not by protesting and You-Tube video's because lets face it the majority of people aren't going to fully believe anything coming from sources like that. So I believe that we need to get creditable people with some celebrity to go own advertising that we buy on corporate controlled TV and start our own PR campaign bring the information to the people in a way there use to digesting it and they will because its the truth and i'll tell you another truth Canadians love there country. Hello Everyone and thats one of my ideas anyways

It was generalized idea and I think that it a good one and one that could built on contributed too. I'm not going respond further because I feel it's a waste of my time you are obviously a idiot and it's going take a lot more than donations by our members to fund this party if it's ever going be anything and I think it's fucking time we started thinking outside the box and i'm sure than there are many member's than have wide variety of skills that they are willing to share for the good of the party and i'm sure if we put are heads together we will figure out how to capitalize on them and we should start a think tank amongest each other to come with quality idea's. I am willing to donate mining claim's into the name of the party 100% ownership and we could think about developing this further and selling them to established companies for profit and use that money to fund our ads. WHAT ARE YOU WILLING TO DO PHIL ? WHAT HAVE YOU DONE ? I am serious and if there is anyone that is our treasurer or are account or whatever contact me and i'll donate them tomo. We have to get organized and do more than hand out flyer's and shit people need to see us were there use to getting there information from i'm sorry that can't be a random hairy guy on a street corner. This is a vital element to our success

Welcome to the forum! I wish we had a better welcoming committee here, but the efforts of those within the party have been directed elsewhere. There is lots happening right now if you want to get involved, it's just not reflected here in the public forum. Anyways, all it takes is more people like you to build a more friendly community here!

I would love to become a member of CAP but i`m not exactly sure how and even more so I want to help. Thank You for taking the time to introduce yourself too I appreciate it and if there is anything at all I can do I would love too. Like I was saying there has to be more productive things to be doing than talking to each others about each we all know and agree on it`s seems meaningless because we have to spread the truth to people who are not yet informed. So again anything I can do please let me known and I would very much so like to become a offical member of CAP

Thanks Neil

Membership starts at $10 per year ($5 for students), you may donate by paypal or cheque, then submit the member application form and member declaration form. See the donate page for more info: canadianactionparty.ca/donate

A great way to contribute would be to write articles for the website, or work on video or other content for possible advertising campaigns. As a member, you can become involved in any of the committees who collaborate by telephone conference and email. Town Hall is a good place to start, it is a teleconference every second Wednesday that is open to all members.

Membership fees 1 year, 8 months ago #1124

We really have to fix that chart on the donate page. The membership fee actually does not start at ten dollars. Actually, any member may choose their own membership fee based on their own abilities and circumstances. To have that chart showin is not only false information, but insulting to our members. You don't get any kind of elevated status as a member because of having given more money. It is appreciated when people are willing to donate, because it helps the party a great deal, if they have the money to give.

Since 1997 there has never been a distinction based on the size of donations. The rule is simple "a member is a member is a member". Donors who gave the maximum $1,100 allowed by Elections Canada have not enjoyed extra votes at convention or front row seats. There have been some simple honorifics such as "Booster Member" which as they say, along with $1 would buy you a coffee at Tim Horton's.

The rules on Tax Credits are set by Elections Canada, so the out of pocket cost of a donation is a function of your tax bracket. This is not a CAP issue.

The reality is that the $10 membership barely covered the cost of recording the membership and mailing a membership card.

Its fine to take a position that no-one has to pay if they don't care to, but the reality is that a party has bills to pay, for web sites, administration and so forth.

At the end of the day you get what you pay for.
