Hi Neil

I am from Thunder Bay years ago and lived there for a year in '06. Yes, the local economy is in shambles and must change from resource based paper and sawmills to finished products. NAFTA had a lot to do with the fall of the lunchbucket in TBay, but the advent of the so called paperless society also had a great affect. I wrote an article a while ago about Google not being anyone's friend and they have had something to do with the demise of small resource towns, People get their news fix online more often - the younger they are, the less paper they touch. As far as kraft paper goes, I think TBay will do a bit better in the future but currently the dollar is too strong, making US domestic sources more attractive to manufacturers. The economy just crashed '08 and still hasn't recovered so don't look for any quick fixes. The native influx is a good thing, I think. I'd love it if they brought their culture with them. They have a lot to offer communities. What they and the rest of us need, is to get back to our old ways and take care of Mother Nature. TBay will again be popular, if we can stop the NWO from taking over our country. There will be no bailouts unless you are part of the buddy system. Anyone kissing Harper's ass? Or a politically correct question - should I ask is there a Conservative MP in the area? I am currently in Northern Ontario (Soo), but self employed (best I can). It is time to vote small party or independent. Harper and his boys are playing out someone elses plan. Just puppets. The whole north is struggling. Food will be very important in the future. Control the food, control the people. Visit www.alternativemedia.ca.

Anybody in the area code or i'm I the first one. You think in area where we have been raked over the coals so many times that there would be some people already on here but now theres one at least. Softwood Lumber and NAFTA have destroyed our local economy we use to be a lunchbox town that relied on our Sawmills and PaperMills now there all close except for one which is the BowWater Mill that is one of the most productive paper mills in the world but even it can't compete anymore and is on a skeleton crew if you could even call it that. Most of our population under 30 has left to try and find work out west in the oil fields and the only reason that are population stays so artifically high in T.Bay is because of the influx of first nations community moving to town without them moving to T.Bay I would like to see what the population would be and what the number is of people that were forced to move west for employment. But there are no worries here because they have brought in a couple call centers into town where we can find fulltime employment at 10 maybe 12 dollars a hour yes 20-24,000 a year now I can afford that 1983 Ford Tempo I was eyeing if i'm lucky. Come on now how come nobody bailed us out like the auto sector or the banks how come the USA doesn't have to play by the rules of NAFTA and in fact have they ever lost a ruling in NAFTA on fair trade fuck no they haven't because there the big dog and the just had there way with Canadian Lumber Industry thank you for everything Mulrouney you should be in prison for what you did to CANADA

A long time ago (40 years) my Father created a group in Thunder Bay who were promoting the Republic of Northern Ontario. I think I still have a hat. He saw the resource wealth being transferred south. Is Ken Boshkoff still an MP and is he still doing nothing? The guy rode a jingle to a million dollar payday! Ask him why the stripes are in the sky, ask him about the Bilderbergs. Ask him about Eugenics. Ask him if he supports Bilderberg members of his Liberal party. He is just in the way while filling his pockets. Get on his case about C36.

I just moved to Algoma, introduced myself by email to my NDP MP, and she fired an email back welcoming me. Then I asked her questions ... 1/ What have you done to stop Bill C36? Where is my $1.2 billion G20 dollars. I never even got to sky stripes and I haven't heard back. Reminds me of the BC MP who when I approached for a meeting about sky stripes, invited a possy!

Run in the next election. Just come up with a good jingle!
