TOPIC: debased coins

debased coins 1 year, 8 months ago #865

i remember when our coins were made of copper, nickle, silver and gold now theres alot of steel in our coins www.2-clicks-coins.com/article/what-are-...n-coins-made-of.html and i read a national post article that the mint will be making the steel content higher.I wonder how this relates to todays economy? The penny costs 4 cents to make and its 94% steel 1.5% nickle 4.5%copper or copper plated zinc. If we reform the monetary system what reforms would be needed to our coins if any?

Essentially our monetary system has become totally corrupted since the BOC has given private financial institutions the power to print money on their own free will. In that process inflation has skyrocketed thus driving up the costs for metals and material like gold, silver, bronze, copper and nickle.

You need to give the printing power back to the BOC and let the markets dictate inflation.

Or we could always go back to bartering a lamb or cow for sheckles
Those who would sacrifice freedoms in the name of safety deserve neither
